Fall Maternity Session with Horses and Ducks – Footsteps Photography Mildenhall Maternity Photographer
This maternity session felt a bit like a trip to the zoo with all the creatures we encountered. If being an animal whisperer is any indication of parenting abilities, the Moran’s are going to be pros!

We met for an early morning session near Ely Cathedral. This is the perfect time of day to capture the sunlight illuminating the medieval structure making for some beautiful storytelling photos.

These two are expecting their first baby – a little boy.

It’s always great when clients bring sentimental items to the shoot. It’s details like the elephant lovie and sonogram picture that really make these sessions so personal.

Such a handsome couple; no doubt their little guy will be just as cute!

These two were so fun to photograph as they were naturally affectionate and obviously very much in love.

Mama Moran will be heading back to the States to give birth to her little boy so the next time I see her, she’ll have a little one in her arms. There is nothing like the anticipation of your first child and I’m so lucky to be able to capture some of that excitement for my clients.

And since the start of this post began with a friendly horse, it’s only fitting that I include this collage of the stray ducks who followed us EVERYWHERE! I’ve never seen anything like it; I’m not sure if they were just excited about the arrival of Baby Moran or they really wanted to have their photo taken. Either way, it made for a memorable shoot.

Cardinal’s Baseball Newborn Boy Session – Footsteps Photography, Newborn Photographer near RAF Mildenhall
Introducing Mason Mertz. This little love bug was born November 15, 2013, at 7 pounds 13 ounces and 19.4 inches long.

I think he looks like his Daddy and I love how he’s holding his hand up as if to say, “Hello! I’m here!”

This beautiful bench was made by his daddy from different pieces he picked up at an antique store.

Mason looks so cute in all these different settings; I’m not sure I can pick a favorite!

As you might have guessed, Dad is a big Cardinals fan. Maybe Mason will grow up to be a famous baseball player!

With his November birthday, we were able to get a couple shots just in time for Christmas cards. This may just be the cutest snow bunny ever!

I don’t normally show the outtakes from newborn shoots but this one was too good to pass up. Mason decided to relieve himself, as babies are apt to do, all over mama’s lap. Luckily, we were prepared as this is a common occurrence at newborn sessions. I love that his parents just laughed it off and went with the “flow.” Mason Mertz, making his mark on the world since 2013!

Brown Family Christmas Session – Footsteps Photography RAF Mildenhall
You may remember baby Noah from his newborn shoot a few weeks ago. Here he is, back in the studio, but this time, he brought along his parents and two older brothers.

Christian is eight and Benjamin is five and as you can see, they’re pretty proud of their new little brother.

Benjamin wasn’t so keen on posing for the camera but gave me some smiles by the end of it.

Christian has a huge personality and had me laughing the entire time.

Noah, of course, had changed a ton in just a few short weeks – holding up his head and checking out everything around him.

We did this shoot in the evening and despite braving a torrential rain storm to get here, the Brown boys were still the most well-behaved children I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Well done, Amy and Mack, on raising such polite and courteous gentlemen!

To finish off this family session, the boys requested we do some silly photos so out came the props and the giggles. Merry Christmas from the Browns!

Baby Bear Smash Cake Session – Footsteps Photography, Children’s Photographer near RAF Mildenhall
Corbin is an old pro in front of the lens, having been at Footsteps Photography studio for both Newborn photos and a Grow With Me session. We made sure to use the same crate from his newborn session for this Smash Cake session to show how much this little guy has changed in just one year.

You may remember his nickname is Baby Bear and as in previous sessions, we made sure to keep with the teddy bear theme. These ones were brought by his mom and are normally in Corbin’s room.

Cake, Love, Crossbones did another fantastic job on this non-artificial flavoring and dye free cake. And Corbin seemed to be very intrigued by the bear on top!

Mmm! Just as yummy as it looks!

Get in my belly!

Happy first birthday, Baby Bear! It’s been such a privilege to capture your first year of life.

Berubee Family Session – Footsteps Photography RAF Mildenhall
This beautiful family braved the ever-changing English weather for their shoot and as you’ll see at the end, it all paid off!

Mom loved the location so we made sure to get some shots where you could see the beautiful building in the background.

The kids are adorable – look at those baby blues! – and I loved that their outfits were coordinated but not matching. You can never go wrong with bold colors!

If you look closely, you’ll notice raindrops in a few of these images. The weather went from sunny to overcast to raining – it’s all part of the fun and challenge of shooting outdoor photography!

Mom wanted a red phone booth shot without it being too obvious, and I think we accomplished that here. This has a very British feel without being in your face. Such a good looking group!

I am in love with this shot – the sunshine, textures, light coming through the fence – perfection.

And after all the crazy weather from sunshine to rain, we ended up with an absolutely gorgeous sunset. It was all worth it!

And what would be a day out at the park without playing and some ducks.
