Sunset on the Farm | Vacaville Maternity Session
Sunset on the Farm | Vacaville Maternity Session
I absolutely love shooting at this privately owned farm. The atmosphere is ideal for almost any occasion. Today, I had the pleasure of a shooting a maternity session for the Costello Family. Take a look at how this beautiful evening unfolded.
The Countdown Begins
Who doesn’t love sunset sessions? I spent the evening on the farm shooting the Costello’s first ever photo shoot. The combination of lush trees, wildflowers and sunlight complimented Linh and her red gown so beautifully. Linh and Jacob loved nature and a farm setting couldn’t be more perfect. The Costello’s were so much fun to work with. We managed to squeeze in some funny baby bump shots. After a quick dress swap, Linh chose a blue gown from my exclusive client wardrobe. It turned out to be symbolic since mom was expecting a baby boy. As our day came to an end, mom and dad had a chance to relax and cozy up by the lavender.
I can’t wait to meet baby Costello for his newborn session! Do you think he’ll look like mom or dad?

And Baby Makes Six Maternity and Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography, Maternity and Newborn Photographer near Travis AFB & Vacaville, CA
I adore this family and was so excited to hear they were expecting their fourth child. The love they all have for one another shines through in these photos.

I’m sure these two would tell you that a good sense of humor is essential to enjoying such a full life.

We made sure the matriarch of the family felt pampered and beautiful. She was just glowing and this turquoise dress was a near perfect match for her stunning eyes.

We also got to try out Footsteps Photography’s latest addition to our maternity dress collection. I made this gown specifically to use in the lavendar fields and could not be happier with the result. No matter how big or small your bump is, this gown is practically magic and fits everyone.

A short time after this maternity session, baby McCauley made his grand entrance into the world and came to the studio for his big debut. The older siblings were excited and proud to show off their newest addition. Aren’t they a good looking bunch?!

McCauley was a dream, checking out everything we were doing with great curiosity.

His nursery theme is lime green and black mustaches so we had some fun using that as inspiration for a few of the shots.

Ultimately, the excitement proved to be too much and the little man fell into a deep sleep.

Sweet dreams, little one!

Fall Mini Sessions – Footsteps Photography, Child Photographer near Travis AFB and Vacaville, CA
I’m finally getting a chance to post the highlights of my fall mini sessions and trust me when I say that it was TOUGH narrowing it down to all fit in one post. Handsome families + gorgeous location + fall foliage = photography perfection. First up is this fashionable duo. Always dressed to impressed, they certainly didn’t disappoint!

Big sister Bella is always ready for the shot while her little brother just wanted to run.
Next up is Molly and her two gorgeous babes. I love the pop of mustard with the fall leaves in the background. This whole look is Pinterest-worthy!

All three of them have bright, beautiful eyes that just light up when they smile.
Couldn’t you just smooch this little face? The dimples are too much. This family was great to work with; you could see their love shine through.

And last but not least, we have Emma and her fur siblings. I am loving the cape and boots not to mention those yummy, chubby baby legs.

So can you see why I had such a hard time culling my photos?! Mini sessions are a great way to get those family photos while also keeping it short and sweet. Plan ahead and you’ve got Christmas cards covered with plenty of time to mail out to all your family and friends. Be sure to like Footsteps Photography on social media to reserve your space at the next Mini Sessions!

It’s Tea Time Smash Cake Session – Footsteps Photography, Child Photographer near Travis AFB and Vacaville, CA
You are invited to Elena’s tea party and Smash Cake session!

This gorgeous little bun looked absolutely stunning thanks to her mom’s impeccable styling. The entire ensemble comes from one of my favorite children’s designers and everything from the color palette to the layers of ruffles was just perfection.

Mom also brought in a few pieces from her teacup collection to make this session even more special. I imagine they may some day be passed down to Elena.

Isn’t she just a doll? I’m not sure what I love more, that striking head of hair or those rosebud lips. Either way, Elena is a beauty!
Thanks for coming to the party, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Beauty and the Beast 1 Year Grow With Me Session – Footsteps Photography, Child Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath
Ophelia is officially ONE! It’s been such a treat to document her first year of life and I can safely say, this has been one of my most creative Grow With Me packages ever. The final culmination of the princess series is Beauty and the Beast.

There were so many thoughtful details included from Belle’s books, her red rose, the friendly clock, and of course, all the previous dresses this little princess has worn.

I’m not sure if this face is more proud of her fabulous dress or the fact that she can stand up all on her own!
We also had some fun in the studio with this Alice In Wonderland theme. Ophelia’s mom did an amazing job of bringing this to life with an incredible assortment of props.

Keys, clocks, potions, and cookies – it’s like we’re watching the story unfold before our eyes.

And of course, some cake for the birthday girl. Happiest of birthdays to you, Princess Ophelia!
