Downtown at Dawn
I met the Power’s Family in Winters just after dawn for a Maternity Session. The family opted for a morning session because Because of dad’s job and their daughter’s schedule. Morning sessions are great for little one’s with early bed times. Mom coordinated the outfits for the family so beautifully. She looked radiant in the white gown she selected from my client wardrobe. Miss A explored the carefully explored the bridge and enjoyed strolling through the tall grass.
Baby Powers
For a change of scenery, we moved to the downtown area of Winters. I love the texture and warmth of the old brick buildings. Miss A was super cooperative and happily posed for the camera. Mom and dad also got some sweet smiles from soon-to-be big sister. Overall, we had an wonderful morning session.
The Powers are expecting their baby any day now. Stay tuned for the newborn session!

We made sure the matriarch of the family felt pampered and beautiful. She was just glowing and this turquoise dress was a near perfect match for her stunning eyes.
We also got to try out Footsteps Photography’s latest addition to our maternity dress collection. I made this gown specifically to use in the lavendar fields and could not be happier with the result. No matter how big or small your bump is, this gown is practically magic and fits everyone. 
A short time after this maternity session, baby McCauley made his grand entrance into the world and came to the studio for his big debut. The older siblings were excited and proud to show off their newest addition. Aren’t they a good looking bunch?!
McCauley was a dream, checking out everything we were doing with great curiosity.
His nursery theme is lime green and black mustaches so we had some fun using that as inspiration for a few of the shots.
Ultimately, the excitement proved to be too much and the little man fell into a deep sleep. 
When I’m not busy taking and editing photos, I love to sew. Most of the maternity gowns used in my sessions are handmade by me which means you get a unique, one-of-a-kind photo and styling. Jewel tones are my favorite and this dress is no exception. Doesn’t this mama look stunning?

Since we really played up purple in the maternity session, we knew we had to include it in the newborn session as well.
This little lady looks just as pretty in lilac as her mama did. Isn’t she just beautiful?!
We had some fun playing around with details to make this an extra special set of photos for Raegan to enjoy once she’s older.
Ely provided the perfect backdrop with beautiful punts on the river to the imposing cathedral atop the hill.
This is such a versatile location as it boasts medieval architecture as well as rustic farmland. Quite the combo!
We captured the last bit of light as it dwindled into a pretty pink sunset. Now we just need Raegan to arrive and this family will be complete!
