Airplanes and Blue Skies | Vacaville Newborn Studio Session

I did Linh’s maternity photography session in July, and have been so excited ever since about doing her newborn pictures! I got to know Linh through a baby group on Facebook that we both belong to. It’s primarily a group for expectant moms who are due in the same year. It’s a nice way for them to socialize, ask questions, and get support. I use it as a platform for offering professional newborn photography services in Vacaville, Sacramento, and the surrounding Bay Area.

Baby Elijah was born in September. Linh and Jacob brought him in to my Footsteps Photography studio in Vacaville, California shortly afterwards and we got some beautiful images of their new little man!

Sweet Baby Pilot

We used a neutral color palette for Elijah’s baby photo session. It was mostly whites, grays, and light browns, with a pop of baby blue. It was the perfect color combination to complement his nursery, which is done in a vintage airplane theme. Airplanes are a very popular baby theme near me since I’m located close to Travis Air Force base. A lot of times the parents of babies I photograph are active duty and serving on the base. I have the perfect little pilot outfit that I often pull out for requests like these. Elijah looked adorable in it!

A Beautiful Family

We also did some newborn and parent photography during our photo session. I love to get images of the whole family—especially the parents with their brand new little one. Mom and Dad are so proud of their baby boy—and understandably so! I think Elijah looks a lot like his mama, but I can definitely see daddy in him too.

This little man was a great sleeper and so good at posing. He even gave me a smile! It was wonderful to record the moments for Jacob and Linh as they celebrated the arrival of their son.
