Sunset on the Farm | Vacaville Maternity Session

I absolutely love shooting at this privately owned farm. The atmosphere is ideal for almost any occasion. Today, I had the pleasure of a shooting a maternity session for the Costello Family. Take a look at how this beautiful evening unfolded.

The Countdown Begins

Who doesn’t love sunset sessions? I spent the evening on the farm shooting the Costello’s first ever photo shoot. The combination of lush trees, wildflowers and sunlight complimented Linh and her red gown so beautifully. Linh and Jacob loved nature and a farm setting couldn’t be more perfect. The Costello’s were so much fun to work with. We managed to squeeze in some funny baby bump shots. After a quick dress swap, Linh chose a blue gown from my exclusive client wardrobe. It turned out to be symbolic since mom was expecting a baby boy. As our day came to an end, mom and dad had a chance to relax and cozy up by the lavender.

I can’t wait to meet baby Costello for his newborn session! Do you think he’ll look like mom or dad?

Garden Maternity + Newborn Session | Vacaville Photography

With dad back from deployment and mom nearing her due date, now was the perfect time to shoot the Stacy’s Maternity Session. It’s hard to believe that this was the first maternity shoot for these parents. The Stacy’s were so comfortable and natural in front of the camera. Mom looked elegant in the maternity gown from Miss Madison Photo Props. You could see the pregnancy glow as she stood by the roses. The garden was an ideal setting to capture the love that waited for little Ava.

Ava Makes her Debut

Shorty after the Stacy’s maternity session, Ava decided to make her big debut! Her newborn session was spring inspired and involved all things pastel and floral. I found a frill pettiskirt at cutecute.co.uk — the perfect accessory for a little princess. Keeping with the floral theme, I placed Ava on a knit blanket and surrounded her with pink peonies and petals. She looked absolutely precious!

As our session came to a close the Stacy’s announced that they were moving to Hawaii. There is nothing quite like settling into a new routine and having to move again. Military life can be hard but it does have its perks. Sometimes they involve tropical paradise!

And Baby Makes Six Maternity and Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography, Maternity and Newborn Photographer near Travis AFB & Vacaville, CA

I adore this family and was so excited to hear they were expecting their fourth child. The love they all have for one another shines through in these photos. She was just glowing and this turquoise dress was a near perfect match for her stunning eyes. I made this gown specifically to use in the lavendar fields and could not be happier with the result. No matter how big or small your bump is, this gown is practically magic and fits everyone. The older siblings were excited and proud to show off their newest addition. Aren’t they a good looking bunch?! I got to spend a beautiful afternoon in the woods with these two as we documented their last few weeks before becoming a family of four (because dogs most definitely count as family members!).
