Avery McVay Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography RAF Mildenhall

Little Miss Avery is another one of my Village Class babies. Jamie, her mom, loves jewel tones and rich colors so get ready for some beautifully saturated images. (To see the rest of the Village Class group, take a peek at the blog posts for the ladies all in the Village Friends class:Zoe, Sophia, Addy & Chloe)

I can never decided what I like more – adding the adorable props or the pure sweetness of a sleeping baby with a bare bum.

Avery is about as yummy and squishy as they come. I love the little roll on her forearm.

There are so many prop options available in the studio when you book a session with Footsteps Photography.  I adore this festive set up for a fall theme that we discussed during the pre-session consultation.

I always encourage my clients to bring items that are meaningful to them as well. The McVay’s are Steelers fans so this Terrible Towel shot was a must as well as some great girly shots of Avery in her fluffy tutu.

For the last shot of her session, Avery flashed us this amazing smile. What a doll! I had so much fun and can’t wait to see her again.

Fall and Christmas Mini Session with 3 children – Footsteps Photography RAF Mildenhall

Christmas Mini sessions are always very popular and fill up fast for the fall season. Its a great time to book a session and experience what custom professional photography is all about in a package deal.  The Brown’s booked not one, but two, back to back sessions to be able to have more than on outfit within the same location and have two completely different looks.

They were able to beautiful Christmas card photos as well as family photos with the vibrant fall colors. First up, the Christmas shots.

There’s no doubt these three are related with those soulful brown eyes and beautiful dark hair. And aren’t their outfits the cutest?!

What a happy and handsome little guy.

The next session featured a colorful background of fall leaves and even more cute outfits for the kids.

What a precious trio.

We captured this last shot just before the sky opened up into a giant downpour.

Military Styled Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography RAF Mildenhall

Chelsey and Jared are the lucky parents of this gorgeous little girl; Miss Addelyn Williams, or Addy for short.

Chelsey brought a suitcase full of props to the session. With a mama this beautiful and stylish, Addy is in good hands!

Jared is a pilot and an avid hunter (which you’ll see in a bit). I think it’s safe to say this little girl already has Daddy wrapped around her little finger!

Addy was so alert and interested in all the things going on around her. 

Chelsey loves the rustic, shabby chic look so we incorporated a lot of lace and dusty pink in this shoot along with some gorgeous detailed headbands.

The Williams’ are incredibly proud of their country and heritage so we had to capture some shots of Addy in her daddy’s uniforms.

I mentioned that Jared is an avid hunter and Chelsey had brought a suitcase full of props. Little did I know, they had also brought along their beautiful black lab for an outdoor themed photo! I’d never before styled a newborn with decoys and a duck call and thought this was such a fun and personalized idea. I really do have the most fun clients!

The Williams’ squeezed in this shoot just a week after Addy was born and days before they left back to the states for Jared’s job. And yes, the beautiful lab came with them! Thank you for a great time, Williams family, and safe travels!

Molly-Joana Smalley Smash Cake Session – Footsteps Photography RAF Mildenhall

You may remember Molly-Joana (and her amazing cake) from her original sneak preview post. Her mom is the talent behind Cakes by Donata and I’m STILL drooling over her yummy creation.  {be sure to scroll through to the video at the end}

It’s plain to see this little gal is very loved by her mom and dad.

All her expressions were fantastic – Molly Joana is a natural in front of the lens!

Next, it was time to break out the balloons and cake. Molly-Joana went absolutely crazy when the balloons came out and we actually had to put them away because she got so distracted. This was a smash cake session, after all! Gotta have those great messy shots.

Molly-Joana went all out digging into the cake with both her hands and her feet. I don’t think this girl ever stops smiling; she really must be the happiest munchkin I’ve ever seen!

With her mom being such an incredible cake artist, I thought the pastry background was the perfect choice for Mollie’s session. And judging by the demolition job she performed, I think it’s safe to say she enjoyed herself immensely!

Daddy got to join in the action at the very end. It’s a toss up for who ate the most cake and had the most fun between these two.

Happy first birthday, Miss Molly! And a standing ovation for your cake smashing abilities!

Princess & the Pea Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography RAF Mildenhall

Baby Chloe was born October 9th at 18.5 inches long and weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces.

Her mom, Christelle, was another one of my moms from the Village Class. Coincidentally, all the babies from that group that came to see me were girls! Christelle fell in love with this pink bonnet and said it reminded her of Little Bo Peep. I can see it!

Welcoming a new baby to the family is always an exciting time and you can tell Christelle, Troy, and Amber adore little Miss Chloe already!

I love the happy grin and spit bubbles in this shot not to mention Christelle’s gorgeous brown eyes.

Beautiful girls looking pretty in pink.

Christelle likes bright, cheery colors so we played around with different blankets and props in pinks and purple.

It’s also nice to do some simple shots with a more muted palette. Chloe ended up giving us some incredible expressions in this set. She even seems to be giggling at her own private joke in one of the photos. Such a little doll!

This last shot has now become one of my most requested set-ups and it’s easy to see why. Christelle wanted a Princess and the Pea photo so I got to work making her wish come true. I love how this turned out – so whimsical and magical. If you have an idea for something special you’d like during your session, chances are good that I can make it happen so be sure to ask!

I had so much fun capturing your great personality, Chloe; you’re an absolute princess! And I can’t wait to see you grow.

Red leaves of Fall Family Session – Footsteps Photography, Lifestyle Photographer near RAF Mildenhall

This was a high energy shoot with two kids under the age of four. Mark and Becky are the parents of Brayden and Ava and together, they make one beautiful family!

We really wanted this to be a fun and playful session, showing the interaction between the kids and their parents without a lot of formally posed shots.

In addition to the candid shots, Becky also requested a few classic shots.

The leaves had just started to change colors and I love how the red in Mark’s sweater is echoed by the foliage in the background.

By this point, the kids had reached their limit for photography fun and were ready to be done with the shoot. Even when things get crazy, I still enjoy capturing these moments because it’s the reality of having little ones around. They lose interest, get tired, or just feel like doing something else. They only stay little for so long – and the ups and downs are all part of the memories and fun!
