Great Expectations Doula – Portrait Session by Footsteps Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

The Tribase area is lucky to have a strong and supportive community and this is particularly true if you are an expectant mother. Abigail, a local doula, contacted me as she was looking for updated headshots for her new website.

As she explained to me, “A Doula recognizes that women have the power to birth, whether it be a drug-free birth or medically assisted, and helps the mother to access her own ‘Mother Nature’ throughout the childbearing year. A doula also provides emotional support, physical comfort measures, an objective viewpoint and assistance in getting the information she needs to make empowered decisions throughout her pregnancy, birth and postpartum.”

Seven to Heaven Family Session – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

Jennifer booked her latest session in honor of her son’s birthday as well as the anniversary of her husband’s passing. Their story is a tear jerker but also so full of love. It’s definitely worth checking out all their previous sessions if you haven’t yet.

In case you didn’t guess by his hands, Dane is turning seven years old! Jennifer always does an amazing job of dressing herself and Dane in combinations that match their big, fun personalities. I love the colors in these shots not to mention the bond these two share.

Each year, Jennifer and Dane release balloons as a way of honoring the memory of their husband and dad. You may remember that Jennifer’s husband passed away just twelve hours before Dane was born so each birthday marks a major occasion in their family history. Of course, these two injected their great senses of humor before sending up their love in a bundle of seven balloons.

The birthday boy had a blast running through the fields, goofing off with his mom and of course, getting covered in dirt and mud! What better way to commemorate seven spectacular years of life.

Spring 2015 Mini Sessions – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

This year’s Spring Mini sessions took place at Bury Gardens and as usual, the setting was absolutely stunning. I had the pleasure of photographing three families and you may even recognize some of these faces!

Mini sessions are a great opportunity to get a variety of shots in a short span of time. All combinations of parents and siblings are possible. And of course, with springtime comes all the gorgeous flowers in their bright colors. I loved that this family chose to go with reds, whites, and blues as it really popped against the floral backdrop.

Mini sessions are for the whole family and yes – this can definitely include fur babies! The birds in the abbey proved to be quite entertaining for little Miss Emma as well as her doggy siblings.

This is always a lot of fun so be sure to book your spot at the next session as places go quickly!

You might just fall in love with the way Amy and Dustin chose to share the details of their daughter’s arrival.

We went all out to make this session an Flower Mama’s dream; meticulously constructing type of out leaves and petals. The results are pretty magical.

Pink and Mint 1st Birthday Grow With Me Session – Footsteps Photography, Child Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

Josslyn is officially a big girl! After a year of Grow With Me sessions (three months, six months, and nine months), this little beauty has finally reached her first birthday.

As before, we used the mint and pink color combo to create a seamless look through all her sessions.
