Abbey Gardens Family Session – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

This lovely family requested more formal photos for their session and came dressed to impress. I think little boys in neckties are one of the cutest things ever. Just look at these handsome little guys!

Caleb is five and Luke is one – they are all boy and kept us entertained with their rock discoveries and great facial expressions.

The Abbey gardens in Bury St. Edmunds are a popular location for many of my clients. While the landscape and architecture is certainly beautiful, the evening light is what really makes these pictures so lovely. The dappled light on this particular evening gave everything a warm, golden glow – so pretty!

And finally, we had to capture the colorful flowers in the gardens themselves. A stunning location for a handsome family!

Sweet As Candy Smash Cake Session – Footsteps Photography, Child Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

My favorite little fashionista is back for her Smash Cake session and my, oh my, is it yummy!

But before we get to the cake, just look how much this sweet girl has grown! Quinn is one of my Grow With Me babies which means I was lucky enough to shoot her at three months, six months, nine months, and now twelve months.

Quinn’s mom brought this great first birthday sign along with the pearl anklet which she wore as a little girl and the diaper cover from Quinn’s first session with me. All the details added up to make some very special images.

This little buggy was a first birthday present and as you can see, Quinn knows exactly what to do with it – clever girl!

And now, on to the cake! I had a hard time not dipping into this tasty treat myself; it looked so delicious.

As usual, Quinn was dressed to impress; her bow and frock coordinating perfectly with the candy store theme. Happy first birthday, Miss Quinn! You have grown so much in the past year and I am so lucky to have been a part of that.

Mustard Yellow Fall Family Mini Session – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall & Lakenheath

This family could have stepped out of the pages of a catalog – impeccable styling, naturals in front of the camera and one of the most adorable little girls you’ve ever seen!

We met at Ely Cathedral for a Fall mini session before this family moved back to the States. Just a reminder to all my current and future clients to make plans to book your family sessions. Heading into 2015, Footsteps Photography will have two options for family session: late spring and fall. It’s a great way to capture memories and images in this beautiful part of England where we live.

We had incredible light to compliment this beautiful family. This little one is practically glowing! Seeing the smiles on her parent’s faces, I think her joy is contagious. Such a sweet, young family.

Kelsie and big sister Sarah are back with their parents for a family session at Abbey Gardens.

Mom brought bubbles for the girls to play with and judging by these giant grins, they were pretty excited about it!

It’s hard to believe Kelsey is already two years old. I’m so privileged to document this family as their little girls continue to grow more precious each year.

Korean Hanbok Smash Cake Session – Footsteps Photography, Child Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

Get ready for some serious color and amazing culture in Addison’s Smash Cake session.

Being of Korean descent, Addison wore a traditional hanbok for the first part of her session. It includes a hat and small pouch though Addison was more interested in playing with them than modeling them. The color and detail were absolutely gorgeous – it’s no secret that turquoise is my favorite color so I really loved the top coat with gold detail.

Inside Addison’s pouch was some money. According to Korean tradition, a child is presented with a variety of objects upon their first birthday. Whatever items the child picks is said to predict their future. Since Addison chose money, tradition holds that she will be rich. Not a bad destiny if you ask me!

Addison’s mom makes some adorable baby outfits and quilts so it was no surprise when she outfitted her little girl in this darling ruffled jumper. She made the peacock headband and brought in the info sign – no detail went unnoticed making this such a special session.

Cake, Love, Crossbones did another outstanding job with this cake; matching the ruffles and colors perfectly to the birthday girl’s outfit. In the final photo, you can see ingenuity at work. After smashing up her cake like a pro, Addison found this straw inside which was acting as a support for the different tiers. Clever girl, she quickly realized she could suck the cake through the straw and keep her hands clean. I predict a bright future for this little one. Happy first birthday, Addison Renee!

Itty Bitty Beauty 6 Month Grow With Me Session – Footsteps Photography, Child Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

Remember this sweet face? Josslyn Jai is back for her six month session and showing off some barely-there new teeth.

We kept the colors similar to Josslyn’s last session; playing up the soft pinks, teals and green. Such a tiny little beauty and so very happy!
