Garden Maternity + Newborn Session | Vacaville Photography
With dad back from deployment and mom nearing her due date, now was the perfect time to shoot the Stacy’s Maternity Session. It’s hard to believe that this was the first maternity shoot for these parents. The Stacy’s were so comfortable and natural in front of the camera. Mom looked elegant in the maternity gown from Miss Madison Photo Props. You could see the pregnancy glow as she stood by the roses. The garden was an ideal setting to capture the love that waited for little Ava.
Ava Makes her Debut
Shorty after the Stacy’s maternity session, Ava decided to make her big debut! Her newborn session was spring inspired and involved all things pastel and floral. I found a frill pettiskirt at cutecute.co.uk — the perfect accessory for a little princess. Keeping with the floral theme, I placed Ava on a knit blanket and surrounded her with pink peonies and petals. She looked absolutely precious!
As our session came to a close the Stacy’s announced that they were moving to Hawaii. There is nothing quite like settling into a new routine and having to move again. Military life can be hard but it does have its perks. Sometimes they involve tropical paradise!

The old school Nintendo System sure does bring back memories. The Frugia Family are big time gamers and wanted to share their love for all things nerdy by incorporating their favorite games into their daughter’s newborn session.
Gamer in Training
This was probably the coolest way to introduce Baby Maesyn to an 80’s classic and show off this family’s fun personality! Maesyn’s session was moved up 3 weeks because she decided to make her debut a little earlier than expected. She didn’t seem to mind as I positioned her sleepy head on the game console.
I took several shots of Maesyn in her pastel onesies and floral bows. The colors and tones were inspired by her newly decorated nursery. Next, I took a few family shots as well as some with dad in uniform. I was very careful while I positioned Baby Maeysn in dad’s uniform pocket. I especially love this image because it gives you an idea of how small she was during the shoot! She was curled up so comfortably and completely unbothered by my direction and camera clicks. She was so relaxed and slept during most of her session. As I wrapped up, Maesyn ended our shoot with the biggest smile. This session couldn’t have been more perfect!
