Little Bear Maternity Session – Footsteps Photography, Maternity Photographer near RAF Lakenheath & Mildenhall

Baby Bear is going to be a big brother! And I was lucky enough to get to capture his mama’s beautiful belly on a lovely, English day.

We chose the same location as Corbin’s maternity session and took advantage of all the great textures and architecture. Isn’t this mama just glowing?!

I love Mom’s coral shirt against the green background. You can never go wrong with jewel tones and since she’s having a little girl, it adds a nice feminine touch to these keepsake photos.

Juliana’s Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography, Newborn Photographer near RAF Mildenhall

Introducing Miss Juliana! Born at seven pounds, five ounces, much to the excitement of her mom, dad, and brother.

Pure sweetness.

This little angel looks gorgeous in purple just like her mama.

Isn’t she just yummy? I know Mom and Dad are soaking up all these tiny details.

Juliana, you are angelic.

Look closely and you’ll notice a familiar purple sash around the box. Congratulations Demesa family; your little princess is just perfect!

I Love You Forever Lifestyle Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography, Newborn Photographer near RAF Mildenhall

This is a little different from my usual newborn sessions as I was able to photograph Heather and Noah in their home as they enjoyed their first few days together as mama and baby.

Heather’s home is absolutely gorgeous – giant windows with beautiful natural light. And how precious and perfect is her new little guy?

After a little snack, we moved into Heather’s guest bedroom with even more natural light and calming decor. Since Noah was born in England yet heading back to the States soon with his mama, we thought it would be fun to use this beautiful Union Jack quilt. Judging by his sleepy little grin, he seemed to think it was a great idea!

Lifestyle shoots are a great option for moms who may be having a difficult recovery and they really showcase that special bond between mom and baby. And there’s no need to stress about having a perfectly organized home! There are lots of easy tricks we can employ to highlight the most important aspect of the session – the incredible little life you’ve just created! These detail shots of little Noah are a perfect example of that; set in front of a window, you would never know these images weren’t created in a studio with a fancy set up. Plus, mama gets extra cuddle time which is never a bad thing.

You’ll remember from Heather’s maternity shoot that we incorporated this special book, “I Love You Forever.” What a gift that she is finally able to read it in person with her little bundle of joy. Such sweet moments between these two; already creating special family memories.

Noah was such an easy going and cooperative baby that we decided to do some more formal poses with him. Again, these were shot in Heather’s house and I couldn’t be happier with the results. What a handsome little man!

Noah, you are so very loved and it’s easy to see why. I am so thankful to have met you and am sure you will grow to be an amazing man after meeting your incredible mama. How exciting that you are finally here!

Unbreakable Bond Family Session – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall

I am so thankful to be able to do what I love and make amazing memories for my clients in the process. While all my sessions are special, every once in awhile, I get the chance to learn a little more about a family and I am simply blown away by the love and strength of the human race. Jennifer and Dane are a special duo and I am confident their story will touch you as much as it did me.

In her initial email to me, this is how Jennifer described her son and also gave me a little background on their story: “My son, Dane, is all boy! I named him ‘Dane’ because my husband and I were married in Denmark. Little does he know the joy his presence has brought to so many. He is my mooring in life and a miracle baby. When I look at Dane, his smile and demeanor embodies pure joy, hope and life, a daily reminder to live life to its fullest! Dane and I are a team and we are definitely survivors. Dane’s dad, my husband and soulmate, died 12 hours before Dane was born of a massive and completely unexpected heart attack. It’s been a challenging six year journey, but Dane and I are moving forward and have a shot at a new beginning here in England!” This mama’s strength and love just blew me away and looking at these photos of Dane playing with his dad’s vintage cars has such special meaning after knowing the history behind this family.

I loved how Jennifer described Dane as “all boy.” It is so true as he had a blast discovering all sorts of bugs and interesting things during our session. Jennifer’s teaching background came through as she provided all sorts of fun facts and insights about the treasures her little sidekick found. The bond between these two is unmistakable and such a gift to witness.

With some gentle help and encouragement from mom, Dane conquered his fear and climbed up this tree. I love his triumphant celebration pose! Such a great personality in this little guy.

Apparently, this is Dane’s signature move: the claw.

I also love this quote from Jennifer about her relationship with her son: “Dane and I love traveling, adventure, weekends, the beach, learning and spending time on the road or at home — no matter, just together!”

Being new to England, Jennifer really wanted to capture the poppy and linseed fields as they are such iconic symbols for British living. Thankfully, as she mentioned, she and Dane love adventure as we had to wade through grass that was over our heads to get these shots!

We had planned to switch gears and do the linseed fields after the poppy shots. Little did we realize, linseed flowers close at night so there was some schedule shifting in order to get exactly the look we were going for.

Jennifer and Dane, thank you so much for sharing your story and your incredible bond with me. Your love just shines through in these photographs and the strength in your words is inspiring. Welcome to England; I know you two are already making unforgettable memories here in your new home!

I Mustache You a Question Session – Footsteps Photography, Child Photographer near RAF Mildenhall

Mr. Rowan is back for his six month Session. At his last shoot, we went all black and white so this time around, we switched it up a bit and added some color. Big sister Sophia was there to help him out; look how much he’s grown!

In addition to his sister, Rowan brought along some of his best buds.

Rowan was looking quite dapper in his fancy duds – all purchased at Next which is a great resource if you’re looking for kid’s clothing. Mom made the fedora (how cute!) and while we all loved the mustache, he wasn’t quite as keen.

Sadly, this will be one of my last sessions with the Hillard’s as they are moving soon. So it’s on to another escapade for this little adventurer. Safe travels, Rowan and family!

Solids and Stripes Family Session – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall

With three kids, life can get busy and time passes you by. This was the case for the Bradley family who were long overdue for some family photos.

Before our session, mom Heather mentioned that Dad would likely be wearing his signature hat. Apparently, it goes with him everywhere and he is very attached to it. Sure enough, he was sporting it for this session and I’m sure his kids will get a laugh out of it when they look back.

Bradley family, I hope you enjoy your new photos!
