Spring 2015 Mini Sessions – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath
This year’s Spring Mini sessions took place at Bury Gardens and as usual, the setting was absolutely stunning. I had the pleasure of photographing three families and you may even recognize some of these faces!

Mini sessions are a great opportunity to get a variety of shots in a short span of time. All combinations of parents and siblings are possible. And of course, with springtime comes all the gorgeous flowers in their bright colors. I loved that this family chose to go with reds, whites, and blues as it really popped against the floral backdrop.

Mini sessions are for the whole family and yes – this can definitely include fur babies! The birds in the abbey proved to be quite entertaining for little Miss Emma as well as her doggy siblings.

This is always a lot of fun so be sure to book your spot at the next session as places go quickly!

Flower Mama Maternity Session – Footsteps Photography, Maternity Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath
Amy and Dustin are expecting a little girl, due to arrive in April.

With a springtime baby on the way, we knew we wanted to include the beautiful new blooms that were starting to appear.

Amy is a total earth mama and was in her element among the trees and fields.

I think the glow from the afternoon sun was a perfect match for the happiness Amy and Dustin exude over her growing bump.

With parents this photogenic, I can’t wait to see what their little girl looks like!

Beautiful couple in a gorgeous setting. Congratulations to both of you!

Love Is In the Details Maternity & Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography, Maternity & Newborn Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath
LaShieka, Malcolm and Semira will soon be a family of four and it’s safe to say they are all pretty excited about it!

They braved the cold and even a light dusting of snow for their session – a special treat for this part of England.

LaShieka was radiant in this coral dress and I love how it played off the golden sunlight and winter trees.

It wasn’t long after their maternity session that I finally got to meet the newest family member – Logan!

He was a bundle of love and rolls; we had to get some detail shots because babies don’t keep.

Any guesses on who this little guy might end up rooting for some day?

Logan was happy to be posed and styled while he snoozed away. He made my job easy!

He’s pretty kissable.

We finished up with some fun props and coordinating outfits. I love how the moon bed can be feminine or masculine depending on how it’s styled. And I think Logan has found his color – that burnt orange looks just gorgeous on him. Such a beautiful boy joining a great family. Congrats to the four of you!

Sharing the Love Maternity Session – Footsteps Photography, Maternity Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath
Jesse and Jennifer are eagerly anticipating the arrival of a precious baby and as if that wasn’t exciting enough, they chose to keep the gender a surprise! These two claimed to be awkward in front of the camera but all I can see is a couple who is kind, loving, and incredibly ready to welcome their bundle of joy into the family.

Jesse and Jennifer love nature so an outdoor session was a no brainer.

We had a great time posing among the fields full of giant trees, gently waving grasses and a beautiful sunset.

Jesse and Jennifer, you were an absolute joy to photograph. Your baby is so incredibly lucky to be getting you as parents. I can hardly wait for the newborn photos!

There Was a Crooked Man Who Walked A Crooked Mile Family Session – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath
Even if you don’t know much about England, chances are you’ve heard reference of the town where this session was shot. Lavenham is where the song “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” was written and is also famous for it’s crooked houses. I had a great time exploring this quirky little village with Jennifer and Dane; capturing some fun images for their annual Christmas card.

While cloudy grey skies aren’t exactly a photographer’s dream, the dreary weather lent itself perfectly to the very English feel of this session. I had a hard time deciding between color and black and white images as the architecture looked so stunning in both formats!

Ever the entertainer, Dane had us cracking up when he found a stick and did a perfect impersonation of the old nursery rhyme:
There was a crooked man who walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse.
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

I love Dane’s sweater as well. All the details came together just perfectly!

And right before posing for a final shot in front of a very old tea emporium, we spotted another crooked man exiting a shop. Such a fun shoot; thank you again, Jennifer and Dane!
