As you may have guessed, this is Shay. Like many of my Footsteps Photography babies, she was born in England to American parents.

Shay’s mom wanted a very feminine feel to her session so we went all out with lace, pink, and pearls. I’ve been having a lot of fun lately with these detail shots. Can you believe those lashes and slender fingers?! Maybe Shay will be a famous artist or pianist someday. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this little one.

There Was a Crooked Man Who Walked A Crooked Mile Family Session – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

Even if you don’t know much about England, chances are you’ve heard reference of the town where this session was shot. Lavenham is where the song “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” was written and is also famous for it’s crooked houses. I had a great time exploring this quirky little village with Jennifer and Dane; capturing some fun images for their annual Christmas card.

While cloudy grey skies aren’t exactly a photographer’s dream, the dreary weather lent itself perfectly to the very English feel of this session. I had a hard time deciding between color and black and white images as the architecture looked so stunning in both formats!

Ever the entertainer, Dane had us cracking up when he found a stick and did a perfect impersonation of the old nursery rhyme:

There was a crooked man who walked a crooked mile.

He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.

He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse.

And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

I love Dane’s sweater as well. All the details came together just perfectly!

And right before posing for a final shot in front of a very old tea emporium, we spotted another crooked man exiting a shop. Such a fun shoot; thank you again, Jennifer and Dane!

Parisian Party Smash Cake Session – Footsteps Photography, Child Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath

Eliza’s one year Smash Cake session was a study in all things girly and sweet. We started with a British tea party where she was dressed to perfection in this ethereal mint and cream dress.

As you may have guessed by Eliza’s beautiful outfit, her mom works in fashion and made the stunning headbands you see in these photos. And what better setting for a little fashionista than the capitol of couture: Paris!

Eliza is one of the happiest babies I’ve had in a long time. Just look at her hamming it up for the camera!

This girl knows how to have her cake and eat it, too. Happy first birthday, Eliza!

Mulberry Musings Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography, Newborn Photographer near RAF Mildenhall

Introducing Nina; little sister to Noah and born at seven pounds, eight ounces on the 29th of June.

This gorgeous backdrop was a custom piece made by Love Art, Will Travel just for Footsteps Photography.

Nina seemed to be enjoying her time in the spotlight as she flashed us just the tiniest hint of a smile.

Like many of my clients, Nina’s family come from the States and wanted to do something special to commemorate her birth abroad.

There are few things more precious than a sleepy, squishy baby – until you put some adorable hats and headbands on them!

Sweet, sleepy dreams Miss Nina! You are simply perfect.
