Lost Boys Maternity and Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography, Maternity and Newborn Photographer near RAF Lakenheath and Mildenhall
Occasionally, I am able to meet clients at their homes for more of a lifestyle and documentary type session and the results are always special and unique. Celeste and Jaime are expecting a little boy and wanted to capture the last few weeks before he joined their family.

Any guesses on the nursery theme?

Just as soon as we finished the maternity session, it seemed like baby Madden made his grand appearance. He joined a very loving and protective furbaby named Fifa.

Just look at that adorable little mohawk!

Jaime and Celeste created a magical nursery for their little guy and the love is in the details. From the Lost Boys sign to the customized treasure chest, you can tell these are some excited parents!

A big congratulations to Jaime, Celeste and of course, Fifa, on the arrival of Baby Madden!

Grandma’s Gift Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography, Newborn Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath
In honor of her first grandchild, this generous grandma gifted a newborn session to her son and daughter-in-law. Meet Zoey, the newest member of this very proud and excited family!

In describing her dream session, mom asked that we go a bit rustic, cute, with pops of teal and nothing too girly. I think we found a nice balance of all those things!

Dainty and sweet – Zoey, you are precious!

Medieval Cathedral Mini Session Part 1 – Footsteps Photography, Family Photographer near RAF Mildenhall & Lakenheath
Now that Christmas cards have been sent out, I can share this great holiday mini session shot near the Ely Cathedral.

This family is always a pleasure to work with as the kids are playful and fun. We were faced with some crazy winds on this particular day though you’d never know it by looking at these little models. They were practically professionals!

This was my last session with the B Family before they move back to the States. It’s been so special to see the kids grow up in front of my lens and turn into little ladies and men. Best of luck to all of you as you embark on your new adventure!

Baby Bump Bliss Maternity Session – Footsteps Photography, Maternity Photographer near RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath
Shanan and Joe are expecting a little girl and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more excited daddy-to-be.

The trees created a beautiful heart silhouette around Shanan – the perfect backdrop for these lovebirds.

We had fun trying out a variety of dresses for Shanan’s shoot including this new lace underlay which provides a little extra cover for more modest mamas.

While all the gowns looked beautiful on Shanan, this orchid dress was absolutely stunning with her red hair.

We hadn’t originally intended for Joe to join Shanan in the water and if you look closely, you’ll see his waders, hehe 🙂 The light was perfect and the location was almost as stunning as Shanan’s growing bump.

Shanan definitely has that pregnancy glow and Joe couldn’t be more excited. If you want to see more of this great couple, take a peek at their other sessions here and here.

I Love You Forever Lifestyle Newborn Session – Footsteps Photography, Newborn Photographer near RAF Mildenhall
This is a little different from my usual newborn sessions as I was able to photograph Heather and Noah in their home as they enjoyed their first few days together as mama and baby.

Heather’s home is absolutely gorgeous – giant windows with beautiful natural light. And how precious and perfect is her new little guy?

After a little snack, we moved into Heather’s guest bedroom with even more natural light and calming decor. Since Noah was born in England yet heading back to the States soon with his mama, we thought it would be fun to use this beautiful Union Jack quilt. Judging by his sleepy little grin, he seemed to think it was a great idea!

Lifestyle shoots are a great option for moms who may be having a difficult recovery and they really showcase that special bond between mom and baby. And there’s no need to stress about having a perfectly organized home! There are lots of easy tricks we can employ to highlight the most important aspect of the session – the incredible little life you’ve just created! These detail shots of little Noah are a perfect example of that; set in front of a window, you would never know these images weren’t created in a studio with a fancy set up. Plus, mama gets extra cuddle time which is never a bad thing.

You’ll remember from Heather’s maternity shoot that we incorporated this special book, “I Love You Forever.” What a gift that she is finally able to read it in person with her little bundle of joy. Such sweet moments between these two; already creating special family memories.

Noah was such an easy going and cooperative baby that we decided to do some more formal poses with him. Again, these were shot in Heather’s house and I couldn’t be happier with the results. What a handsome little man!

Noah, you are so very loved and it’s easy to see why. I am so thankful to have met you and am sure you will grow to be an amazing man after meeting your incredible mama. How exciting that you are finally here!
